1. Who we are
Nature In is an Irish business partnership and independent health food retailer with stores in Enniskerry and Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow. Our website, naturein.ie, provides information about our business and stores; it is not an online shop.
Nature In is the data controller. Our CRO business name registration number is 641816. Our registered business address is Church Hill, Enniskerry, Bray, Co. Wicklow, A98NY26, Ireland. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@naturein.ie.
2. Information we use
When you contact us, we receive the name, contact details and information you provide, together with our correspondence. Our email is mainly used for suppliers and business contacts, occasional customer enquiries and unsolicited spam. Business records may include orders, price agreements, invoices, contractual discussions and complaints.
Website and hosting systems use technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and request times to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it against misuse.
We do not request medical or health information through the website or general email. Please do not send it. Unnecessary unsolicited sensitive information will be deleted as soon as practicable, subject to any specific lawful reason for limited retention.
3. Why we use information
- Enquiries and supplier correspondence: our legitimate interests in answering questions, managing business relationships and running our stores.
- Contracts: taking steps you request before a contract or carrying out a contract with you, where applicable.
- Website operation and security: our legitimate interests in providing and protecting the website.
- Legal obligations and claims: meeting applicable legal duties or, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
- Non-essential cookies or similar technologies: consent where required.
You choose what to provide when contacting us. Without the relevant details, we may be unable to answer your enquiry or take the steps you request.
4. Providers, website resources and cookies
Hosting Ireland provides our website hosting and directly hosts info@naturein.ie. The mailbox is not forwarded or synchronised to Gmail. Hosting Ireland processes hosted information on our behalf and publishes processing terms and privacy information.
Information may be available to people handling our enquiries and business records, and to service providers where access is needed to deliver hosting, email or technical support. We may disclose relevant information where legally required or necessary for legal claims.
The website includes Google Maps, Google Fonts, Instagram content through Smash Balloon and external social links. Loading external resources can disclose your IP address and browser/request information to their providers. Following a social or Maps link takes you to that provider’s service. See Google’s privacy information and Meta’s privacy information. Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area; locations and arrangements depend on the services involved. These links do not replace our responsibility for processing initiated by our website.
Cookies and browser storage can remember preferences or support other website functions. Non-essential storage or access requires consent where applicable. Complianz consent software is installed on the website. Questions about cookies or consent can be sent to info@naturein.ie.
5. How long we keep information
Ordinary customer/general enquiries: up to 12 months after the last relevant communication, unless longer retention is justified by an ongoing matter or a legitimate legal or business requirement. We will periodically review and delete older, unnecessary enquiry emails. This does not mean historical mailboxes have already been fully cleared.
Supplier and other business records: the 12-month enquiry rule does not automatically apply. Relevant supplier emails, orders, price agreements, invoices, contractual discussions, complaints and other business records are kept as long as necessary for ongoing business purposes, applicable legal obligations or legitimate claims. They should not be kept indefinitely without a valid purpose.
Retention of technical logs and backups depends on the service arrangements and the relevant operational, security or legal purpose. These records should not be kept longer than necessary for that purpose.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to info@naturein.ie. We will respond without undue delay and within one month. Where necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, we may extend this by up to two further months, explaining the extension within the initial month. If there are reasonable doubts about identity, we may ask for proportionate additional information.
Rights have lawful limitations. Erasure does not require deletion of information that must be retained by law or is necessary for legal claims, including relevant invoices or business records. We assess requests individually and explain any refusal or limitation.
You may complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. You do not have to contact us first.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when our business or processing changes. A policy update does not replace renewed consent where that is required.
